SUMMARY

Pascal Shiakam shone with a performance of 40 points as the Toronto Raptors won 115-113 in overtime the leaders in the Eastern Boston Celtics.

Shiakam had 17 of 29 shooting attempts and added 13 rebounds. Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby supported him with 14 points each.

Toronto has now won 9 of its last 11 games.

The Celtics were without their two best offensive weapons, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Before the match, the Canadian men’s soccer team was introduced to the Raptors fans. The players who qualified for the World Cup the day before received a loud applause from the Toronto audience.

Toronto was left without Montreal center, Kim Birch, with a swollen right knee.

The Raptors will return to action on Wednesday as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
