In the middle of the second round of the NBA Draft, Tristan Vukcevic invests in his talent with the Washington Wizards.

A few weeks ago, Zelimir Obradovic was looking for him, but Tristan Vukcevic was in the US working in front of team agents ahead of the 2023 NBA draft. And finally, in the early hours of Friday (6/23), he saw the Washington Wizards pick him up seed 42 out.

The 2.11-metre striker/midfielder, son of veteran Dusan Vukcevic, started out in Olympiakos’ infrastructure department, stayed at Real Madrid and is now part of Partizan, although his future is unclear. The Wizards are in a rebuilding phase, so it’s possible they want him now, although it’s just as likely that they’ll consider him a secret and leave him in Europe for a year or two before bringing him to the US.

Vukcevic has wowed several teams with his performance and long-range shooting during training sessions on American soil and while he hasn’t made the progress everyone was expecting, he’s proving to be quite an attractive talent who will have opportunities to shine.
