Doncic tripled the Lakers, dropping them to 11th place

The Mavericks — minus LeBron James and Anthony Davis — defeated the Lakers 128-110 in Dallas and edged them 31-44 to 11th place in the West, along with the 10th Spurs and out of play-in tournaments. Usually, the “Lakers” don’t even have the fate in their hands anymore, at the same time the Mavs are 4th in the West with a record of 47-29, a breath away from the 3rd Warriors (48-28).

Luka Doncic was the Mavs’ leader with 34 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in this year’s 10th triple-double on a night Dallas was partying, even reaching +37. The Slovenian was followed by Reggie Bullock with 17 points and Davis Bertans with 14 points.

At the Lakers, Malik Monk had 28 points and Russell Westbrook had 25 points, with LA now being called upon to show character at the end of the season lest he manage to win the 10th place lead to the play-in tournament.
