The Celtics breathed optimism after the surgery Robert Williams underwent on the meniscus with his return estimated in around 4-6 weeks.

Celtics centre-back Robert Williams underwent meniscus surgery on his left knee with a 4-6 week recovery period. Williams was injured in the Celtics’ home game against Wolves and worried the team ahead of the NBA playoffs.

However, there is optimism in Boston that Williams will be available in the second round of the East playoffs given the initial threat of losing the remainder of the season. We remind you that the semi-finals of the Eastern region will start between April 30th and May 2nd.

In the case of Robert Williams, the numbers (10 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2.2 blocks) aren’t enough to describe his offering, as the 24-year-old center is a cornerstone in the Boston Celtics’ impressive counterattack in 2022 , especially with what it does on the back of the parquet.
