The Simmons of the Blazers scored 43 points a day after his grandfather died
Anferny Simmons moved the world after scoring 43rd goal in the Blazers’ win over the Hawks (136-131) after dedicating his performance to his grandfather, who died last night.
Anferny Simmons managed to overshadow Trey Young’s 56th in the Blazers’ 136-131 win over the Hawks to some extent, with 43 points with 9/16 threesomes and 7 assists. What people didn’t know, however, was the grief they bore.
The young Blazers security guard was called after the match to comment on his appearance and was moved by the revelation. “I cannot get any praise for my performance. My grandfather died of cancer yesterday and it was all his. I pay tribute to him. I dedicate my appearance to him. All of this was his today, I can’t get the praise ” Simmons said after the match in a reveal that made his appearance even more special.
