It was one of those races where you have to see what happened to believe it. That’s because the Jazz held a consistent lead throughout the game, coming away 28-49 in the second period but also 87-103 in 40 minutes. But then the Warriors woke up and responded with a legendary 18-0 streak, running all three-pointers (they had 6/7 during that period) and taking a 105-103 lead! Four of them were noticed by Clay Thompson, who remembered his old – strange – self.

With psychology on their side, the Warriors achieved victory by aiming for the shots that should have ended. Before that, however, Donovan Mitchell missed a three-pointer at 109-106 that could have sent the game into overtime.

Clay Thompson at 36 points with 8/17 three points was the top winner, with Jordan Poole adding 31 points and Andrew Wiggins adding 17 points

For the Jazz, Mitchell and Mike Conley each had 26 points and Bojan Bogdanovic had 17 points (but with 6/15 strokes).
