Olympiacos are keen to fill the region with a top player and have turned their attention to Sviatoslav Mikhailiuk (26, 2min01), who now has his sights set on Europe.

Olympiacos have completed most of the squad for next season, with the only position pending in the region as the most important player.

Giorgos Bartzokas is looking for a player who can play the ‘2’ and ‘3’ and has leadership qualities with the NBA pool being his primary focus. It was there that the extremely interesting case of Svyatoslav Mikhailjuk was found.

The 26-year-old regional league player moved to the USA in 2014 to combine his studies with sports in the NCAA, where he had a good career as a player – student in Kansas. He then ventured into the NBA, where he has been working since 2018. However, without having a fixed role in an organization’s rotation.

With his playing minutes always limited and the G-League his only option in this five-year streak, Sviatoslav Mikhailiuk has finally started to turn his eyes to Europe. This has been cited by Olympiacos, who have already expressed an interest in the 26-year-old defender/forward.

Of course, his case is not that easy, as he himself always prioritizes staying in the NBA. Which implies he’ll be patient (how long, unknown) to find something to cover him. If he finds it. Otherwise, the EuroLeague will be a two-way street as Olympiacos is already interested in securing his signature.
