Abdul-Jabbar for LeBron: “I regret what I said, I respect and admire what he did”
In a tweet, Karim Abdul-Jabbar said he regrets what he said about LeBron James, stressing they were exaggerated, adding that he continues to admire and respect what the “King” has done from the ground up.
After stating that LeBron James should be ashamed of some of his actions, Karim Abdul-Jabbar (still) had something to say: he regrets making this statement, which he believes went further than it should have done. .
A few hours after the attacks of the first goalscorer in NBA history caused the noise, he wanted to lower the sound himself. So he posted the relevant “LA Times” post on his official Twitter account and apologized.
“Today (yesterday) a journalist asked me something about LeBron James and I regret my answer which was more detailed than it should have been. For years I have expressed my deep admiration and respect for LeBron and what he has done for the community as a leader and athlete. This fact must be taken into account.”
For the record, Abdul-Jabbar didn’t just say bad things about LeBron in his outspoken comments. He also referenced James’ work from the ground up, starting with the fact that he went to school and gave scholarships to children.
However, he was quick to point out that some of the “King’s” views on issues affecting the African American community were wrong, which led to all this noise. But now he wants to clarify the situation again so that the situation does not deteriorate.
