Montreal’s Benedict Mathurin has said he is fit for the NBA Draft after two seasons at the University of Arizona.

According to several observers, the six-legged guard could be selected in the top 14 in the next draft, after a brilliant second campaign with the Wildcats.

Pac-12 player of the year Mathurin improved his points average per game from 10.8 to 17.7, from rookie season to recently completed season.

“I would like to thank my family and friends for their support (at the NCAA),” the Quebec athlete wrote on Wednesday. The city of Tucson was wonderful to me and the best fans in the world welcomed me with open arms.

Thanking his coaches and emphasizing his lifelong commitment to the Wildcats, Mathurin continued:

“I always dreamed of playing in the NBA and I’m ready to take that step. With that said, I would like to announce that I am eligible for the 2022 NBA Draft. »

The University of Arizona won its first 11 games of the season on its way to an overall record of 33-4. Mathurin starred in this play.

At the March Madness Sweet Sixteen, the Wildcats lost 72-60 to the University of Houston.
