It was an incredible game. A game that fully justified the NBA’s decision to add the final two tickets to the playoffs to the play-in tournament. In the end, with red pulses, it was the pelicans who were cooler and got a great qualification. A qualification that came with two wins, having previously eliminated the Spurs in New Orleans in 9th-10th place.

Brandon Ingram was the winner’s top scorer with 30 points, with CJ McCollum up 19 points (but 9/24 shots). However, the team’s key players were Larry Nance (14 points – 16 rebounds) and Troy Murphy (14 points with 4/6 three points), who ended the game in the fourth period.

In the Clippers, who had given their all despite Paul George’s last-minute defeat due to Corona, Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson each had 27 points and Norman Powell had 17 points.

The fight unfolded into a normal fight. The Pelicans were the ones who struck the first blow and with Ingram scoring consistently they escaped 22-30 in the first period but also 29-45 and 41-56 in the second. But that’s where the Clippers counterattacked, who responded with a low number (Morris at 5) and a partial score of 27:2 (!) and took a 66:58 lead in the third period. And they weren’t even done as they continued to widen the gap, hitting +13 (87-74) in the fourth period. But then the pelicans would react.

With Ingram interpreting the game better, Nance dominating under the baskets, and Murphy hitting big shots, the visitors tied for a 27-7 split score and walked away 94-101. Since then they had the upper hand in the match, showed the necessary composure in the shots and qualified.
