Magic Johnson took a stand on who the greatest point guard of all time is and responded to Steph Curry’s claim that he is himself.
Steph Curry claimed in an interview that he was the best point guard of all time and Magic Johnson weighed in on the issue.
These are undoubtedly two of the greatest playmakers in the history of the sport, although opinions differ on the championships he considers his own, according to Magic’s response. An opinion that Michael Jordan also shares.
Specifically, he responded to CBS Sports Radio when asked whether he agreed with the Golden State Warriors star’s opinion: “If he wins more than five championships, becomes more than three-time Finals MVP and three-time league MVP… All-time leader in assists in Finals history… Then he’s the best. But last time I checked that wasn’t the case.”
