Days after existence was transferred from milwaukee to portland, Jrue Holiday has been redirected to another candidate.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Trail Blazers have agreed to a trade that will send Holiday to the Celtics.
Last season, Holiday was selected by second-time All-Star and fifth-time All-Defensive Team in his 14-year career. The 33-year-old remains one of them better perimeter defenders of the NBA and joins a Boston team that has made big moves this offseason, including his acquisition Kristaps Porzingis.
In three seasons with the Bucks, Holiday averaged 18.5 points, 6.8 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. No contribution was greater than his role in 2020-21, when helped lead Milwaukee to second NBA title in franchise history.
The holiday season in Milwaukee ended on Wednesday, September 27th, as it did traded to Portland as part of the deal that made Damian Lillard Buck. Portland, which is rebuilding for the future, quickly redirected Holiday to a team reportedly at the top of his wish list.

The deal, which could be considered an extension of the Lillard trade, sends Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams III, a 2024 first-round pick to Golden State and an unprotected 2029 first-round pick to the Trail Blazers.
How is Jrue Holiday’s contract?
According to Spotrac, Holiday will make just under $35 million in the 2023-24 season. He has a player option for the 2024-25 season worth $37.4 million.
If Holiday picks up his player, he can become an unrestricted free agent in the 2025 offseason.
