RDS and Sportish will present Game 3 of the series between the Raptors and the 76ers starting at 8 p.m. A pre-game will set the table for this meeting starting at 7:30 p.m.

BEFORE THE MATCH

They dominated the first two games and losing by at least 15 points in each of them, the Toronto Raptors will try to make their return against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, when the series of the first round between the two teams will be transferred to the Scotiabank Arena.

The Raptors can count on Gary Trent Jr. for this encounter, and maybe even Scotty Barnes, he hinted this morning. Trent, who suffers from a non-COVID-19-related illness, played just under 10 minutes on Monday after being placed on the uncertain roster before Game 2. He eventually left the game after losing each of the three shots on the court and grabbing a rebound.

Barnes, who is recovering from a sprain in his left ankle that he suffered in match 1, was present at the team’s training session on Wednesday. Coach Nick Nurs showed that his player is improving and that he could “maybe” play the game.

The 76ers will be left without the services of Matisse Thybulle for Games 3 and 4 in Toronto due to his vaccination. Restrictions in Canada prevented him from accompanying the team. Thybulle received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, but decided not to take a booster dose.

To hope to close the gap in the series, the Raptors will have to find a way to slow down NBA MVP nominee Joel Embiid, something they have not been able to do so far. Tyresse Maxey and Tobias Harris, with 61 and 46 points respectively in the first two games, will be the ones to watch. James Hayden has been a little calmer so far with 36 points.

The 4th game will be held on Saturday.
