LeBron and Davis defeated the unlikely Durant

Kevin Durant worked wonders and scored 39 points against the Lakers in LA, but LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined for 51 points and that was enough for the Lakers to beat the Lakers 100-95 – without Booker and Bill-Phoenix. Durant passed Olajuwon in scoring.

Kevin Durant didn’t have the injured Devin Booker and Bradley Beal by his side because he knew he had to do everything he could to help the Suns beat the Lakers in LA. He did…pretty much everything (he even passed Hakeem Olazuwon on the scoring list) and it wasn’t enough, as the Lakers cruised to an important 100-95 victory after an improbable 28-11 run in the fourth quarter!

Anthony Davis with 30 points and 13 rebounds and LeBron James with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists finally managed to bend the inflexible Durant, who finished the game with 39 points on 14/28 shooting, 10/13 shooting and 11 rebounds (but also 8 errors), which gave LA the win.

DeAngelo Russell with 14 points and Austin Reaves with 10 points gave the Lakers everything they could, while Eric Gordon had 15 points (but 6/16 shooting) and Jordan Goodwin 14 points (but 6/15 shooting) for the Suns.

As a reminder, this was the first time in five years that LeBron and Durant competed in an official game! A week earlier, however, they were back on the field as opponents in the Suns’ friendly against the Lakers.
