Luka Doncic decided to send his message in all directions at the beginning of the year. The Nets understood this well, as the Slovenian guard tore apart their defense and led the Mavericks to a 125-120 victory.
The 24-year-old guard was second to none and finished the game with 49 points on 7/11 two-point shots, 9/14 three-point shots, 8/10 shooting, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and zero (!) fouls in 36 minutes of participation, but also the three-pointer (with a hook!) that sealed the victory, in a legendary performance!
Tim Hardaway with 19 points (but on 6/17 shooting) and Kyrie Irving with 17 points followed the unlikely Slovenian as he led Dallas to its second win of the season in as many games.
For the Nets, Cam Thomas had 30 points, Spencer Dinwiddie 23 points and Michael Bridges 18 points.
