Hot Mavericks beat Bulls with mediocre Doncic but 20 3-pointers
Luka Doncic had an off night and an off night, but that didn’t stop the Irving-less Mavericks from beating the Bulls 114-105 by finishing 20 of 48 from three games.
Luka Doncic remained flat with 18 points (only 5/16 shots), 10 assists and 6 turnovers. But that didn’t matter for the Mavericks – without the injured Kyrie Irving – who outscored the Bulls 114-105 thanks to a 10-2 run in the final four minutes.
Grant Williams led Dallas with 25 points on 7/9 three-pointers, while Tim Hardaway added 24 points on 7/13 three-pointers. Dallas finished the game making 20/48 3-pointers, was unfazed by the fact that the score was 54-24 (!) in favor of the Bulls, and is one of two undefeated teams with a 4-0 record in the NBA with the Celtics.
For the Bulls, Zach LaVine had 22 points (but on 7/17 shooting), Nikola Vucevic had 21 points and 20 rebounds and DeMar DeRozan had 16 points on 5/13 shooting.
