NBA teams’ City Edition appearances have been revealed
The NBA In-Season Tournament will premiere the City Edition appearances of the 30 teams from the world’s leading league.
The NBA has unveiled the City Editions of the league’s teams. Looks they’ll wear at the NBA In-Season Tournament, which begins Friday, November 3rd with Knicks vs. Bucks and Nuggets vs. Mavericks.
Appearance the Milwaukee Bucks is built on the idea of bringing people together, whether around Lake Michigan or in the Deer District, home of the team’s Fiserv Forum.
The Golden State Warriors’ look is inspired by the city of San Francisco and its iconic cable cars. San Francisco’s wordmark is going uphill, just like the cable cars that connect people to their city.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ look is inspired by the franchise’s perseverance through change. The triangular wordmark is a throwback to the early days of basketball in Los Angeles after the franchise moved from Minneapolis in the ’60s.
The Sacramento Kings look celebrates the franchise’s 100th anniversary by reimagining one of its most iconic jerseys: the 1968 Cincinnati Royals road jersey (since the team was renamed the Sacramento Kings in 1985).
The performance of the San Antonio Spurs takes you back to 1968 during the World’s Fair – Hemisfair – for a celebration of global connection seen through the lens of San Antonio culture. The event helped provide the infrastructure that supported the Spurs’ move to San Antonio in 1973. The design features a retro tower logo that represents the heart of the downtown area where the exhibition was held.
We remind you that a few days ago the NBA also presented the different floors that each of the 30 teams will have in their games NBA In-Season Tournament.
