The magnetic resonance imaging test performed on Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell turned out to be negative, the club announced.

Mitchell has bilateral fractures of the quadriceps and will continue treatment. Sources told ESPN that there is a possibility that Mitchell will play in Thursday’s home game against the Dallas Mavericks as the Jazz face the exclusion.

Mitchell was injured in the 5th game of the series as his club was 28 points behind. There was then 4:41 left for the game.

Mitchell averaged 26.0 points per game in a row, but shoots just 37.9 percent and only 19.5 percent on three-pointers.
