Fox on Vezhenkov: “He’s starting to enjoy it, he’s throwing punches and it’s taken a load off him.”
De’Aaron Fox said Sasha Vezhenkov seemed to be enjoying life in the NBA more now with the Kings, adding that the Bulgarian forward now looked freer after his first few shots.
Sasha Vezhenkov seems to be getting more used to the NBA and the Kings every day. He showed that with his outstanding performance in the Kings’ 132-120 win over the Cavaliers, with Mike Brown praising him after the game. But Brown wasn’t the only one who had something good to say about the 2022-23 EuroLeague MVP, and DeAaron Fox did the same.
The Kings star was asked about Vezhenkov’s outstanding performance and didn’t miss the chance to have a few kind words for him. “It definitely plays better. I think he’s doing better now. You know he came here alone and didn’t know anyone.
It’s a different transition, a more difficult transition for him than any we’ve ever experienced. “Changing a state like ours is not the same as changing a continent” Fox initially explained, then idolized his teammate:
“I feel like he’s enjoying the game more. He starts throwing punches, which I think took the pressure off him. You see, he loves playing basketball, which is great for him and for us.
