The Indiana Pacers released Daniel Theis, but he already knows where he’s headed next
Daniel Theis is leaving for Indianapolis to move from the Pacers to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Daniel Theis was released on Wednesday evening (November 15th) because he agreed with the Indiana Pacers, received compensation and, after 48 hours, will sign a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers until the end of the current season.
The 31-year-old center will fill the void left by Mason Plumlee’s injury. California is hoping to revive his career after regressing over the last two years.
In 314 NBA regular-season games, Tice is averaging 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per 19.4 minutes while shooting 63% from 2-point range and 71% from the field. He played for the Celtics, the Bulls, the Rockets, a second time with the Celtics and the Pacers.
