NBA, Raptors – Sixers 97-132: Ebid clears line for Philadelphia
The Sixers went to Toronto determined to end the streak, defeating the Raptors (132-97) and progressing to the semifinals of the Eastern Conference where they will face the Miami Heat.
The Sixers secured their spot in the Eastern Region Semifinals when they defeated the Raptors in Toronto (132-97) and tied them 4-2 straight. Joel Ebid was another great game for the visitors, making a double-double (33 points and 10 rebounds) and sending his team to the semifinals, where they will face a home disadvantage against the Miami Heat (first game in 2/5).
The Raptors, on the other hand, lost control of the match early on, didn’t show the face they had in the two games they won in the series, and bowed to opponent superiority. Leading the Canadians was Bushe with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Shiakam had 24 points with 0/4 three points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Also, Trent had 19 points and Barnes had 18.
Among the winners, the Sixers had four players in double digits with the exception of MVP candidate Joel Ebid, who had 33 points and 10 rebounds. Maxey was second for his team with 25 points, 5/12 three points and 8 assists, Harden added 22 points with 15 assists, Harris had 19 points with 11 rebounds and Green had 12 points with 4/7 three points.
