Detroit nears historic losing streak in NBA
On the night of December 17, in an NBA regular season game, Detroit suffered a crushing defeat to Milwaukee, 114:146.
The Pistons’ losing streak reached 23 games, the longest winning streak in club history. Detroit joins the 1995/1996 Vancouver Grizzlies, 1997/1998 Denver and 2011/2012 Charlotte Bobcats in failing 23 straight times in a single season.
Let us remind you that the NBA’s record for defeats in a season is 26 consecutive defeats by Philadelphia (2013/2014) and Cleveland (2010/2011).
The NBA’s historic anti-record is 28 consecutive losses to Philadelphia. This series started at the end of the 2014/2015 season and continued in the 2015/2016 season.
