Super Vezenkov achieved a double-double in the Kings’ confident victory
The Kings had no problems against the Wizards, prevailing 143-131 despite +26, with Domantas Sabonis posting a triple-double. Back to positive performances for Vezenkov, who achieved a double-double.
The Kings were in no mood to cause trouble against the Wizards. Through periods of poor basketball play, they won 143-131, with the final result flattering Washington as the difference was as much as 26 points, with the visitors’ scores in the end only reducing the magnitude of their defeat.
Domantas Sabonis led the Kings with 28 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists, with DeAaron Fox adding 30 points and Keegan Murray adding 25 points.
For his part, Sasha Vezenkov stayed on the floor for 12 minutes and took advantage of his chance. The former Olympiakos player was outstanding, finishing the game with 8 points and 7 rebounds and was extremely productive for his time on the court.
For the Wizards, Jordan Poole had 28 points and Kyle Kuzma had 27 points.
The Kings, who are off to their best start 25 games deep since the 2004-05 season, are 16-9 and the Wizards, who are still looking, are 4-22.
Sasha Vezenkov’s report
Back to positive performances for Sasha Vezenkov. The Bulgarian striker came off the bench early in the game (just before the end of the first period) and needed just 9 seconds to score his first shot (a 3-pointer off an assist from Malik Monk) and looked “hot” out of.
The post game proved to be just as good for Vezenkov, who spent a lot of time at power forward and helped out in the rebounding department before scoring a total of 5 points in the 4th quarter to end the night on a positive note.
