Knicks party in Brooklyn, wins for Heat and Pacers

Comfortably and beautifully, the Knicks easily outlasted Brooklyn and beat the Nets 121-102. Hit wins, Cavaliers, Pacers and Hawks.

The Knicks are the bosses of New York. It took four years, but they finally beat the Nets in Brooklyn (102-121), confirming that something has changed in their city again.

Julius Randle led the winners with 26 points, Donte DiVincenzo added 23 points and Immanuel Quickley 19 points, for a New York that reached +25 at times and was never threatened.

For the Nets, Cam Johnson and Cam Thomas each had 20 points, while Michael Bridges had 15 points on 4/21 shooting.

Magic – Hits 106-115

The Magic are having a dream season so far. In Florida State, however, they remain the Heat’s little brother, with Miami easily overtaking Orlando 106-115 and at times even leading by 26 points.

Tyler Hiro led the way with 28 points for the winners – who were without Jimmy Butler – and Bam Adebayo added 18 points.

For the Magic, Cole Anthony had 20 points and Franz Wagner 15 points (but on 5/14 shooting), while Paolo Banquero was limited to 10 points on 2/12 shooting.

Cavaliers – Jazz 124-116

For the Cavaliers, Donovan Mitchell (virus) was placed on the injured list alongside the injured Darius Garland and Evan Mobley. Still – even with a stunning performance – they defeated the Jazz 124-116 and recorded their third straight victory.

Sam Merrill was the Cavs’ unlikely hero with 27 points and 8/14 three-pointers (both career highs), with Carys LeVert contributing 23 points, Max Struss 18 points and Jarrett Allen 17 points.

For the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen had 26 points and 10 rebounds, Colin Sexton had 20 points and Tylen Horton-Tucker had 19 points.

Pacers-Hornets 144-113

The Pacers were on a four-game losing streak. The matchup with the volatile Hornets couldn’t have come at a better time, as Indiana threw a party against Charlotte and picked up an easy 144-113 win.

Buddy Hield led the way with 25 points, Tyrese Halliburton added 19 points and 13 assists, Aaron Nismith 19 points and Myles Turner 18 points.

For the Hornets, Terry Rozier had 25 points, Brandon Miller 21 points and Miles Bridges 19 points.

THE DODECALEPTA: 31-29, 71-60, 107-86, 144-113

Missiles – Hawks 127-134

The Hawks spilled the milk in Houston after going on a 14-0 run in the fourth period to go from +18 to +4 (123-127) with 1.5 minutes to play. However, a three-pointer from Sadiq Bey restored parity, and Atlanta ultimately defeated Houston 127-134.

Trae Young led the way with 30 points and 14 assists, while Bogdan Bogdanovic added 22 points, Dejude Marie 21 points and Onyeka Okonio 19 points and 11 rebounds.

For the Rockets, Jabari Smith had 34 points and 13 rebounds, Fred VanVleet had 32 points and 15 assists and Dillon Brooks had 19 points.
