The Grizzlies advance with Morad, the Bulls are undaunted, wins for the Pelicans and the Wizards

With Morad at the helm, the Grizzlies defeated the Pacers and snapped their two-game winning streak. Unstoppable Bulls who beat the Spurs, wins for Pelicans and Wizards.

The Grizzlies still have a lot of work to do after their breakout start in the absence of the suspended Ja Morad. The second step in that direction after his return came after Memphis prevailed with a 116-103 Pacers for its second straight win.

Desmond Bain’s 31 points and Jaren Jackson’s 21 points led the winners, with Morad adding 20 points in his first game in Memphis since returning from his suspension.

For the Pacers, Obie Taupin had 22 points, Tyrese Halliburton had 17 points and 14 assists and Myles Turner and Buddy Hield each had 15 points.

Bulls-Spurs 114-95

The Bulls have been bowing giants lately. Given what they did, the Spurs’ hurdle was significantly lower: Chicago won easily 114-95, taking 4 wins in their last 5 games and 8 in their last 11.

Kobe White led the way with 22 points, DeMar DeRozan added 21 points and Patrick Williams 18 points.

For the Spurs, Devin Vassell had 21 points and Zach Collins 14 points, while Victor Webanyama had 7 points on 3/8 shooting.

Cavaliers – Pelicans 104-123

The Pelicans played in Cleveland without Zion Williamson. However, the Cavaliers were without their three best players (Mitchell, Garland, Mobley) while New Orleans celebrated and took an easy 123-104 victory.

Trey Murphy led the way with 28 points, CJ McCollum added 18 points and Brandon Ingram added 17 points.

For the Cavs, Dean Wade had 20 points and Isaac Okoro had 16 points.

Blazers – Wizards 117-118

The Wizards blew an 18-point lead in Portland and gave the Blazers their last chance. However, they got lucky in the final after Jerami Grant missed a layup on Portland’s final attack and the champions scored their fifth win of the year.

Kyle Kuzma led the way with 32 points, Tyus Jones added 24 points and Daniel Gafford 16 points.

For the Blazers, Anferni Simons had 41 points, DeAndre Ayton 23 points and Jerami Grant 20 points.
