What is the reason? Lakers’ NBA champion arrested

Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Isaiah Ryder He was arrested in Arizona after his wife did not attend the hearing regarding the protection order she received.

According to TMZ Sports, Ryder was arrested in Arizona after failing to attend a court hearing to decide whether the protective order would be enforced. His wife, Vanessa, was also present at the hearing and the judge decided that the arrest warrant should remain in effect.

Arizona authorities confirmed that Isaiah’s failure to appear at the hearing resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant. He was later arrested and sent to the Gilbert Chandler Unified Holding Facility.

Ryder’s attorney, Benjamin Taylor, said his client would have no further comment on the case. However, Ryder had previously claimed that the protection order was related to the divorce and denied the accusations against him.

The warrant was first filed in July when Vanessa alleged that Ryder had been aggressive towards her and their son. Ryder denied that he was formally served with the arrest warrant until December.

Earlier this month, Ryder was also arrested in Gilbert for allegedly violating a protective order. Vanessa emphasized that the arrest warrant was issued only for security purposes and asked for the ongoing legal process to be respected.

Ryder spent nine years in the NBA and played for five different teams. He made the All-Rookie Team in 1993-94 and won the NBA championship with the Lakers in 2001.
