The best team in history? Oklahoma equals Golden State’s record
Oklahoma City Thunder Defeated Phoenix Suns with a score of 138:89 in the quarter-finals of the NBA Cup and advanced to the semi-finals of the NBA in-season tournament.
The result also tied the Thunder’s best start by an NBA team in history. With 24 wins in the first 25 games, they equaled the record set by the Golden State Warriors 10 years ago.
The defending champions have dominated the league so far this season. Their only loss came in early November, when the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 121-119. After that they already won 16 games in a row, setting a franchise record.
Oklahoma City is on pace to match the 2016 Warriors, who set an NBA record with 73 wins in the regular season.
