NBA Cap. Orlando comeback and defeat from New York send them into the semifinals

Play-off matches started in the NBA in-season tournament on the night of December 9-10.

Miami started the game against Orlando with a 15:0 pace, which allowed them to win 30:17 of the first quarter. In the second, the Magic responded with a move at 17:4, thus reducing the gap to two points and then taking the lead. After that the game was balanced and the Heat still won 57:56 of the first half. The third quarter passed with Orlando’s slight advantage, and at the beginning of the fourth quarter the Magic were ahead by 14 points at 101:87. They then maintained their advantage, won and earned a ticket to the NBA Cup semifinals – 117:108.

The most productive player of the match was Bane, who brought 37 points to Orlando, while Carter also had a double-double with 14 points + 10 rebounds.

“Toronto” and “New York” tied the game at 39:35 in the first quarter, and the Knicks took the lead in the second quarter. They started the quarter with a 19:4 attack and gained a comfortable advantage of 54:43, then made another 9:0 move and took the lead by 18 points at 65:47. The teams went to the big break with New York leading by 17 points – 69:52. In the second half, the Knicks controlled the game and kept their opponents at bay, but they eventually won and advanced to the NBA Cup semifinals 117:101.

For New York, Brunson scored 35 points and Towns had a double-double with 14 points + 16 rebounds.
