Denver Nuggets lost after Nikola Jokic’s injury Jonas ValanciunasHe was supposed to replace the Serb.

Nuggets’ Lithuanian center had to limp and leave the field with 4:03 left in the third quarter, and the score was 75:72 in favor of Denver. The club had already announced that the center had strained his right calf muscle.

Although the team, which played the match with a seven-player rotation, achieved a valuable 106-103 victory against the Toronto Raptors, Valanciunas was depressed and angry in the locker room. After getting out of the shower, the center sat for a medical procedure and wore orthopedic boots in response to the pain.

The calf strain could see Jonas miss up to a month, which is about the same amount of time Jokic will miss with his knee injury.

For Valanciunas, this was his first start as a starter this season. At the end of the third quarter, the Lithuanian center played with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in 23 minutes.

Jonas joins Denver’s long list of injured players, which also includes Nikola Jokic (knee injury), Christian Braun (ankle injury), Aaron Gordon (hip issues) and Cam Johnson (knee injury).
