Nine games were played in the NBA regular season on the night of December 17-18.

Miami managed to beat Oklahoma at home.

Thunder started the match better, winning the first quarter with a score of 37:30. The next two quarters were left to the home team and thus, the score was equalized at 95:95 in the last 12 minutes. It turned out to be tense as no one could get to a comfortable distance and so the fate of the match was decided in the clutch, with Wiggins’ three-pointer 32 seconds before the siren being the key. It was he who brought victory to the Heat with a score of 122:120.

The most productive player of the match was Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 39 points, but this did not help Oklahoma win. Adebayo recorded a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds for Miami.

In the match between the top 4 teams in the West, San Antonio hosted Minnesota and won.

The first quarter of the meeting was equal and Spurs started to take the lead from the beginning of the second quarter. The home team made an attack of 24:6, creating a comfortable advantage of +16, which increased to +25 – 69:44 overall at the big break. In the third and fourth quarters, Minnesota was able to slowly close the gap and get back into the game. One minute before the end of the quarter, the guest team took the lead with Divincenzo’s three-pointer with a score of 119:118, but then Vembanyama and Johnson scored 126:123, allowing Spurs to take the lead to 123:119.

The leaders of both teams performed outstandingly: Edwards scored 55 points for the Timberwolves, and Vembanyama scored 39 points for San Antonio.

Detroit hosted Indiana and suffered one of the biggest losses of the season.

In the first half of the game, the Pacers managed to score only 25 points, while the Pistons scored 59 points. This decided the fate of the match, as in the second half Detroit calmly controlled the game and brought the match to a landslide victory – 121:78.

Three Pistons players scored 16 points each: Green, Cunningham and Robinson, and Düren scored 15 points.
