NBA, the 5 things left from the night: The Mitchell-Gomber duo did some damage again

The Appearance of the Night

Donovan Mitchell might have been Denver’s top scorer, but Nikola Jokic was a multi-tool for the Nuggets. Notice one more have triple-double 25 points (8/13 two points, 2/5 three points, 3/3 shots, 15 rebounds and 14 assists in 36:44) and he did everything in his power to help Denver win.

But he was alone. However, it is worth noting that Jokic did the second series Triple-double after the Lakers game and appears to be in terrible shape.

Carrie’s absence was obvious

Steve Carey missed the Warriors’ game against the Wolves in Minnesota and the San Francisco team paid for it. He easily lost 119-99, falling to Carl-Anthony Towns (see below). There’s no denying that Steve Carey is the team’s top scorer and its leader, but the Warriors have been struggling with their performance lately. If we take out the exciting match against the Bulls, the Warriors show two faces on the floor and show that without Carrie they can’t.

Even when he plays, the San Francisco team seems dependent on their goalscorer. It’s partly normal, but just one player doesn’t make a team as good as it is. Especially with Carrie absent, the Warriors will have to find alternatives to score points (if Thompson returns, if positive).

Towns is a dangerous opponent

THAT Carl-Anthony Towns has become a very dangerous opponent for any team the Wolves face. He did the same in the game against the Warriors, where he had 26 points with 11/20 shooting and 11 rebounds. It might not have been an impressive 30m, but if you factor in Towns’ average over the past four games, you’ll agree that he’s a scary player for opponents.

He’s averaging 29.3 points with 9.3 rebounds and 4 assists in his last four games and impresses with his 59% shooting accuracy. Towns is a strong contender for the MVP award and with him in his favor, the Wolves are shaping up to be a formidable opponent for any team.

When that shot came in

The NBA is famous for the impressive stages it offers its audience. Especially if they count. We saw such an impressive phase that didn’t count in the Nuggets vs Jazz match where Rudy Gomber dressed as Steph Curry scored with an incredible 3/4 shot.

The end of the first part was heard and the ball stayed in the hands of the French center, who, however, almost threw it off the baseline and found a goal. It’s one of those shots where someone says, “Oh, let it come in,” but Gomber has shown he has those unreal shots, too.
