Jazz Mitchell has joined the NBA concussion protocol
Jazz Donovan Mitchell has joined the NBA Concussion Protocol, which means he must follow certain steps before returning to the court.
The defeat (101:95) against the Lakers in LA was ultimately the least bad for the Jazz. Because it was discovered that Donovan Mitchell suffered a concussion during the game.
According to Jazz, the team’s star received a hit to the head near the end of the first half and experienced symptoms of a concussion after the game, due to which he decided to enter the appropriate protocol and at the very least be ruled out for the team’s next game.
According to the NBA Concussion Protocol, a player must follow certain steps in order for them to return, starting with not having any symptoms. He must then be examined by a doctor and pass a series of tests before the jazz doctor can finally contact the NBA’s concussion commissioner and together make a decision to return the athlete to the floor.
This season, Mitchell has averaged 25.5 points, 4 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.6 steals in 34 minutes of attendance.
