A $10,000 fine in the Nets vanderpool for…distraction
Nets assistant coach David Vanderpool has his hand in his pocket for “cutting” a pass in the game against the Wizards, with the NBA finening him $10,000 while serving a fine of $25,000 imposed on the networks.
Nets assistant coach David Vanderpool has learned how much it costs to go viral in the NBA for the wrong reason: $10,000.
The NBA imposed this fine on the experienced coach because he “cut off” a pass from the Nets opponents in the fourth period of the game against the Wizards and thus gained possession of the ball for his team. The NBA also fined the Nets $25,000.
The question for the networks now is whether it was worth spending a total of $35,000 for a…distraction. Considering they only won 118-119 – so every possession counted – maybe it was worth it.
