Nilsap “terminates” Milsap
Paul Millsap’s coexistence with the Nets seems to be coming to an end, and both sides are looking for a way to part ways amicably.
Paul Millsap agreed with the Nets over the summer, hoping to play a role in the team’s bid to win the title. Seeing that won’t happen, he is now in talks with the Nets to leave.
According to Athletic, the veteran power forward and Brooklyn have decided to part ways and are looking for a way to make it happen so they’re both happy. The Nets would rather trade him (to a team of their choice) to get something back, but if that doesn’t happen then logically they will terminate his contract.
This season, Milsap is averaging 3.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 11 minutes in 24 games, the worst numbers of his career. In fact, he has only played in 2 of the Nets’ last 17 games as Steve Nash appears to favor LaMarcus Aldridge and younger Nick Claxton, Kessler Edwards and DiAron Sharp.
