Cousins has a 10-day contract with the Nuggets
After nearly two weeks of talks, DeMarcus Cousins finally settled on the Nuggets and signed a 10-day contract with Denver.
DeMarcus Cousins has reportedly been away from the Nuggets for two weeks. The coveted deal was completed with the veteran center signing a ten-day contract with Denver.
Cousins was released by the Bucks on Jan. 6 despite his stellar performance as Milwaukee wanted a vacancy on the roster so it wouldn’t be reinforced towards the end of the trade deadline. This is exactly what the Nuggets took advantage of, rushing to agree with him. Given they sent Bowl Bowl and PJ Dozier to the Celtics in a three-way swap two days ago – by taking Brin Forbes from the Spurs – they also have a vacancy in the roster. What does that mean; That if Cousins is satisfied, his contract may be turned into a guarantee.
With the Bucks jersey, Cousins averaged 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 17 minutes and appeared in 17 games (5 as a starter).
