Donovan outraged by Allen’s foul on Caruso: ‘It could have hurt his career’
Bulls coach Billy Donovan has attacked Grayson Allen for committing a dangerous foul on Alex Caruso.
In the Bucks-Bulls game (Milwaukee’s 94-90 win), time froze momentarily when Grayson Allen unsportsmanlikely fouled Alex Caruso after the Chicago guard accidentally avoided a serious injury. And when the game was over, Billy Donovan didn’t hide the fact that he was upset.
The Bulls coach attacked the Bucks guard with statements, urging the NBA to take action and recalling the past of Allen, who has been accused of being a “dirty” player since his college days at Duke College.
““When Alex (ss Caruso) was in the air, Allen grabbed him and threw him to the ground in a way that could end his career.” Donovan initially said, adding: “He has a history of such fouls. That was an extremely dangerous phase. “I hope the league sees the phase well because it could hurt Caruso seriously.”
For his part, Caruso didn’t hide his frustration, explaining, among other things, that his right wrist hurt a lot, while adding that Allen never asked him if he was okay. “The guy grabbed me in the air. That’s nonsense, I don’t know what else to say. “I’m just glad I wasn’t seriously hurt.”
