NBA, LeBron James: 137 points away from becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer
LeBron James is poised to conquer another top spot in the NBA in points. The ‘King’ is now 137 points away from overtaking Karim Abdul Jabbar and becoming the all-time No. 1.
LeBron James doesn’t stop chasing every spike, whether competitive or statistical. The “King” wants to win another ring this year with the Los Angeles Lakers, a mission that is of course not easy.
On the other hand, with the rhythms he’s achieving and the way he’s playing (and) playing this year, he can add another spike to his resume. That of points. You see, LeBron James is just 137 points away from becoming the No. 1 productivity streak in NBA history in the regular season and playoffs. A top that has belonged to Karim Abdul Jabbar with 44,419 career points for decades.
The Los Angeles Lakers leader currently has 44,012 points (regular and post-season), which means that if he continues to score with this year’s consistency (29-point average in 2021-22), he will become No. 1 in points in of NBA history in five games.
As for the regular season, he has to endure… about two more seasons, always based on the rhythms he achieves in his career.
At the moment the top race is as follows:
- Karim Abdul Jabbar: 44,149 points (38,387 regular, 5,762 posted)
- LeBron James: 44,012 points (36,381 regular, 7,631 postal)
