Ranked 18th all-time in triple-double Giannis, next…obstacle is Grand Hill
Giannis Antitokoumbo overtook Michael Jordan in triple-doubles to rise to 18th all-time in the NBA. Next up… obstacle Grand Hill, check out the top 20 list and the… accessible Russell Westbrook.
Giannis Antetokounbo scored the 29th triple-double of his career in The Bucks won 112-98 against the Wizards, beating the great Michael Jordan. He climbed up to 18th all-time and there’s a good chance he’ll even break into the top 15 by the end of the season.
John is now level with Hill in 17th with 29 triple-doubles, but he’s effectively in 18th since the Pistons and the Magic legend reached that number in fewer games. In his next triple-double, however, the “Greek Freak” will overtake him and then target Celtics legend John Havlicek, who ended his career with 31 triple-doubles.
For the record, the first on the list appears – and with the dates so far – to be approximate. The reason, of course, for the Lakers’ Russell Westbrook, who has 193 triple-doubles (and… counting) to date, with his closest – in action – athlete being LeBron James with 102 triple-doubles.
