After 17 games with a knee injury, Anthony Davis is expected to return to Brooklyn on Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers reported.
Davis is “likely” to return against the Nets, according to the NBA report for injury or sidelining.
An eight-team all-star, Davis suffered a knee injury on December 17 in Minnesota.
The Lakers went 7-10 without him. With a record of 23-24, they pass the Clippers marginally for the eighth place in the West.
This season, Davis has averaged 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and two blocks per game in 27 games.
The Nets (29-17) are battling Miami, Chicago and Milwaukee for first place in the East.
