Former Raptor Norman Powell will be among those absent for the Trail Blazers when Portland visit the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night.
Powell will lose the fight for personal reasons. This season he averaged 18.6 points per game.
Powell started his career with the Raptors in 2015-16. He spent more than five seasons with the 2019 champions before being traded in March 2021 for Gary Trent and Rodney Hood.
The Blazers will also be starring Damian Lillard, as well as Larry Nance and Cody Zeller.
Participating in six all-star teams, Lillard underwent abdominal surgery on January 13. The club has already said that its condition will be re-evaluated in March.
In 29 games this season he has offered an average of 24 points.
Nance and Zeller are out due to knee injuries.
Portland (19-26) remains in 10th place in the West. The team must be careful with the Kings, Pelicans and Spurs.
The Blazers have won three of their last four games. Their race in Canada will complete a journey of six races.
CJ McCollum returned to action on Monday after losing 17 games due to a collapsed lung. In three games since his return, he has scored 16, 24 and 24 points (including two, four and five three-pointers).
Toronto (22-21) completed a five-race road trip on Friday, beating Washington 109-105.
Rookie Scottie Barnes had a career record 27 points.
Nick Nurse’s team ranks eighth in the East.
