Conmebol Reschedules Games for Colombian Clubs After Quake

Conmebol has announced new dates for Copa Libertadores and Copa Sul-Americana matches involving Colombian clubs following a strong earthquake. The continental governing body rescheduled the round of 16 ties that were suspended after the disaster struck Colombia on Monday, August 10.

The magnitude 7.4 earthquake has killed more than 220 people across the South American country. Domestic fixtures in the local Colombian Championship scheduled for this week have also been postponed indefinitely because of the tragedy.

Copa Libertadores Fixtures

In the Copa Libertadores round of 16, Tolima will host Independiente del Valle in the first leg on Tuesday, August 18, at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Manuel Murillo Toro in Ibagué. The second leg will take place on Tuesday, August 25, at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Banco Guayaquil in Quito, Ecuador, hosted by Independiente del Valle.

Copa Sul-Americana Fixtures

In the Copa Sul-Americana round of 16, Independiente Santa Fe will face River Plate in the first leg on Wednesday, August 19, at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio El Campín in Bogotá. The return match will be played on Wednesday, August 26, at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Monumental de Núñez in Buenos Aires, hosted by River Plate.
