Anthony Joshua has received an offer to withdraw from his planned rematch against Oleksandr Usyk to allow the Ukrainian to face Tyson Fury, his promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed.

Hearn clarified that it might be a good move for Joshua to accept some money and then go up against the winner of the fight between Usyk and Fury.

Hearn did not reveal the amount offered to Joshua before adding that the decision would be entirely up to the boxer. According to the Daily Star, the sum would be 15 million pounds (25.6 M$ CAN).

The portrait of the heavyweight division remains up in the air as the WBC today announced once again the postponement of a bidding round for a duel between champion Fury and his mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, who is also represented by Hearn.

Usyk snatched the WBA, IBF and WBO belts last September by beating Joshua by unanimous decision of the judges in London.
