Eddie HERN: Joshua and I will definitely consider Fury’s offer.
Head of promotional company Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearn Commented on WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) who wanted to meet Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).
“I talked to Joshua, and if this fight is here, if they’re serious, which I doubt, then let’s believe Tyson Fury for the sake of trying to arrange this. Last night I told George Warren of Queensberry to send details and a quote and I will send it to AJ because he is ready to fight.
We did not expect this opportunity, but this is a great chance to fight for the title of world champion in the greatest fight in boxing. We will definitely consider it.
To me and the cynics in boxing, “Oh, we didn’t get along with Joshua, so we’re going to fight a guy you haven’t heard of instead, because not everyone was available.” But let’s put the cynicism aside and get back to Team Fury because we’re ready to discuss this fight. Of course we are ready to arrange,” said Hearn.
Earlier, the promoter of Fury said that this fight will take place in England.
