FESECKO: If Usyk was a competitor, he wouldn’t have won the 2nd challenge
Ukrainian judge Viktor FesechkoWorking in the fight between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Briton Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs), he shared his impressions of the fight.
“9-10 laps were uncomfortable. If we take the first fight, then Alexander studied there very competently, and the second was a little worse. Of course Joshua is well prepared, rebuilt. Yes, the third round was intense. I think Sani’s corner worked correctly. They gave up on the tour. They gave Alexander to recuperate, to breathe. So I think the angle works well.
The size difference was huge. Joshua is very tall as a basketball player. He is also strong, hitting very hard, but less mobile. It attacks from any point. Alexander moves a lot and attacks from this position. So Joshua didn’t catch him, but of course there were some worrying moments. In the championship rounds, Alexander already acted confidently and proved himself.
It is difficult to say whether Usyk would have been given the victory if he had boxed in the status of a competitor. He is not even ready to answer this question. Even an Englishman in the war reacted here. If the American gave the victory to Joshua, the English gave it to Alexander, but very close. That’s why it’s hard to answer. It could have been in any direction,” Fesechko said.
Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua by split decision on August 20 and retained the belts.

Former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder The unified champion of the league commented on a possible fight against Alexander Usik.
Wilder said, “The fight with Usyk is a great chance. This is an opportunity to compete for championship belts again. If I win, I will become champion again. Next year will be very important for me. When this fight happens, it will change my life. I will shock the world again.”
Previously, Alexander Usik (24-0, 15 KOs), the holder of the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles (over 90.7 kg), talked about his plans and admitted when he plans to end his professional career. The boxer recently vacated his WBO title and lost his status as absolute world champion.

Alexander Usik passed Anthony Joshua A special gift from the Ukrainian army: a tactical watch made from a 105 mm cartridge case. This was reported by television producer Oksana Gnatyshin.

Previously, Usik gave Joshua an embroidered shirt with the image of a Kazakh.

US President Donald Trump shared his impressions of the fight between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, which ended in the defeat of the blogger-boxer.
“I watched the fight between Jake Paul and Anthony on the plane. Paul performed very well. Anthony, who is very talented and strong, showed great courage in his fight with Joshua.

A big boxing show took place in Miami, USA, on the night of December 19-20, 2025. In the main fight, American entertainer Jake Paul and former world champion Anthony Joshua entered the ring. The fight ended in the sixth round – AJ brutally knocked out his opponent.
