Russian AMC Fight Nights fighter Alexander Grebnev told RT that Swede Khamzat Chimaev upset him with his behavior in the fight at UFC 279 against American Kevin Holland, refusing to shake the opponent’s outstretched hand.

Chimaev won by submission in the first round. With 12 wins to his credit, he is an undefeated fighter.

– If we discard the failed weight race, I was upset by the fact that Chimaev went to his feet when Holland pulled his hand. Not that he was obliged to shake it – there is no such rule. But, in my opinion, in such cases, one should either shake hands with the opponent, or not do it. But do not perform any attacking actions at this moment.

In this regard, I remember the fight in 2013. Then Magomed Malikov also pulled his hand, and Kenny Garner, instead of shaking it, struck and broke his opponent’s nose. A few minutes later, the Russian “breathed” and subsequently lost by knockout, Grebnev said.
