Head of promotional company Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearn WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion shared his views on how much longer Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will fight.

“I don’t know. I don’t think he will. I don’t see Usyk holding out for another five years and fighting every contender. He was the undisputed champion of the first heavyweight division and is now the union heavyweight champion. If he fights for the absolute championship in this weight category and wins, then I think it’s all over.

I can only speak as a fan right now because I haven’t had a conversation with Usyk about this but I doubt he will fight after fight for the absolute. If he wins, I think he’ll end up boxing. The question is, how can you go back to the same wages once you’ve made more money?” said Hearn.

Eddie Hearn has been a co-supporter of Usyk since 2018. Cooperation was completed after the second fight with Joshua, which was won by the Ukrainian.
