LOMACHENKO: “I proudly carry the Ukrainian flag every time I step into the wind”
Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs), former world champion in the three-weight category, admitted that he wants to dedicate his future fight with American Jemaine Ortiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs) to the Ukrainian people. We remember earlier that it became known that the fight between Lomachenko and Ortiz will take place on October 29 in New York.
“I want to dedicate this struggle to all my Ukrainian people. I proudly carry the flag every time I step into the ring.
I love this sport. I am very happy to be back. My goal is to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world, but I will not underestimate Jemaine Ortiz. Madison Square Garden and Hulu Theater have been very special places in my career. I look forward to having better memories after October 29,” said Lomachenko.
