Agent: Tyson Fury was on the verge of suicide
Frank Warren, promoter of the reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), shared his memories of working with the British champion.
“He won the world championship first. Defeated Wladimir Klitschko, the best of his generation. I put Tyson in a title fight position, then it was done through another promoter. He beat Derek Chisora and that night was incredible, I dreamed he beat Klitschko.
There was a time when Tyson was on the verge of suicide and I met him. He was overweight, but I took him to a meeting at BT Sport, where everyone was very skeptical about him. The Premier League signed deals with the Champions League but they didn’t understand what it was. I spoke to them and they were with Tyson Fury the next minute,” Warren said.
Let us remind you that it was learned before that the negotiations regarding a possible fight between Fury and Joshua were suspended.
