Trilogy Alvarez – Golovkin ended with the victory of the Mexican by unanimous decision

In Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) there was a fight between the Mexican Saul Alvarez and the representative of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin.
Reigning undisputed super middleweight champion Alvarez won by unanimous decision to retain the division’s championship belts.
For the boxers, this was the third face-to-face confrontation. The first fight between the Kazakh and the Mexican ended in a separate draw. In the second fight, Saul won by split decision.
Alvarez scored his 58th career win with two losses. Golovkin lost for the second time in his career with 42 wins.
