Vasily LOMACHENKO: “Perhaps Golovkin is too old now”
Vasily Lomachenko praised the defeat of Kazakhstan’s Gennady Golovkin to Mexico’s Saul Alvarez in a trilogy fight that took place last night. The Ukrainian said it was time for Golovkin, 40, to consider ending his career.
“It was very interesting. When there is a trilogy, it is always a historical moment. Canelo was good but maybe Gennady is too old now.
I don’t know what Canelo should do next. Probably a rematch with Bivol. As for Golovkin, I don’t know. It’s his decision. I think he is now a legend and can end his career,” said Vasily Lomachenko.
As you know, Golovkin lost unanimously to Alvarez in Las Vegas.
